Those damn hypocritical "dictator-ish" Baby Boomers just can't keep waving the white flag of PC. I mean the same damn people who did everything wrong, and try to "right" it by denying their following generations to enjoy life peacefully.
I know that may be stronger than the post I'm gonna excerpt but whatev. It pisses me off that they employ bully tactics ironically when they try to enforce anti-bully tactics. The only way change came in the 60s and 70s was sheer force. There were so many of the boomers they caused change. Which was good, until THEY got old. Now it's the opposite, they want things to go their way (same as their parents wanted) and it will, simply because there are so many of them. That's why they get all the votes in any thing.
Anyways, that rant was just to prelude this ridiculousness example of PC gone too far.
A grade 7 student, made headlines when he was asked to leave St. Catherine of Siena School because of his unique hair colouring, which was dyed blue as part of a hockey team ritual. The blue hair broke the school's dress code.
"No matter what walk of life you're in, there's a code of conduct for that school, business, sports team, whatever. You need to respect that code of conduct," argued Katrina Owen, a member of
the Parents Council that sets the strict codes.
Adam's mom had a hard time swallowing the argument that coloured hair signified her son as a gang member.
"We understand that they don't want gangs and stuff in the school, but to associate hockey players with gangs just when they're dying their hair for playoffs is ridiculous."
WHAT!!!
It was THE SCHOOL'S TEAM!! How does hair break a dress code??
Not only that, the kid was apparently suspended until his normal hair color came back!@!@
